John S. Muhl, 69, died October 7, 2014. He was born March 20, 1945 to the late John and Rosina Muhl in Mehltheuer, Germany.

John was a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish and of the German Family Society. He proudly served his country in the US Army and retired from Goodyear after many years of dedicated service. John was an avid soccer enthusiast, he enjoyed playing and coaching most of his life.

Preceded in death by his brother Frank, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy; children Jason (Mary-Anne) Muhl of China, Jennifer Muhl of Wadsworth, Jeremy (Kerry) Muhl of Wadsworth and Juliana (Lane) Edwards of Wadsworth; grandchildren Ciara, Jack, Maia, Clare and Matilda; sister-in-law Eva and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday 2 to 4 PM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street in Wadsworth. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Father Mike Ausperk celebrant. Inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 408 9th St SW, Canton, OH 44707.
