Arno William “Bill” Nice, age 96, passed away on October 17, 2022. He was born in Hamburg Germany on June 16, 1926, to Fred and Martha (Ratanski) Nice. Bill was a WWII Navy veteran, a lifelong learner, and retired from NASA as a project manager. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and traveling with his late wife, Lois.

He was preceded in death by his wife and soulmate, Lois. He is survived by children Barbara (Gary) Jakubcin, James (Lindy), Nancy (Rick) Madzia and Kevin, grandchildren Jennifer Jakubcin, Jaimie (Tim) Morris, Lindsay (Joel) Whetstone, Joshua Nice, Raechel Nice, Matthew (Kristine) Madzia, Scott (Janelle) Madzia and 12 great grandchildren.

Memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 11:00 AM until time of memorial service at 12:45 PM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, OH 44281 with Pastor Sarah West officiating. Inurnment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Camp Christian Scholarship Fund at First Christian Church in Wadsworth, OH.
