James Edward O’Brien Jr., 54 formerly of Wadsworth more recently of Barberton, passed away Monday January 20, 2014. He was born October 13, 1959 in Wadsworth to the late James E. Sr. and Bonnie O’Brien.
Jim was a graduate of Wadsworth High School Class of 1978, was a member of the Wadsworth Eagles, Greater Akron Bowlers the PBA and was currently the manager of Ghost Alley in Wadsworth. He enjoyed bowling, basketball, football, coaching softball and attending his children’s events.
Jim is survived by his son James E. O’Brien III, daughters Hannah and Kristen O’Brien and two brothers Scott (Shelly) O’Brien and Matthew (Julie) O’Brien.
There are his nieces Kelsey, Sarah, and Molly O’Brien, nephews Andrew, Matthew and Tyler O’Brien and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends 2-6pm Saturday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 6pm with Pastor Robert Combs officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
