William J. “Willie” Orr, 29, of Norton, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012. He was born on November 6, 1982.
Willie was a graduate of Wadsworth High School, Class of 2001. He followed in his father’s footsteps and was a proud and active member of Laborers’ Local 894. Willie worked hard and played harder. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson Road King and was an avid four-wheeler enthusiast. He was a loyal and devoted friend and spent as much time with his friends as possible. Willie was charismatic and known for being ornery. He never met a stranger or forgot a name, and he always made others smile. Willie’s life revolved around his family, especially his wife and children. His children were his proudest accomplishments.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Eileen Orr and maternal grandfather, Robert “Bobby” Roten.
Willie is survived by his wife, Shawnte’ (Huff) and their two children, Liam Robert (2 years) and Emma Grace (5 months); his parents, William and Peggy Orr of Wadsworth; sisters, Elizabeth (Brody) Orr Day of Rocky River and his twin Allison Orr of San Diego; his maternal grandmother, Loretta Roten of Akron; niece, Quinn Day; in-laws, Edward and Patsy Huff of Seville; Shane Huff of Medina, Heather (Jim) Newman of Lodi, and Damion (Sandi) Huff of Wadsworth; nephew and niece, Tyler and Hannah Huff; nephews, Garrett and Grady Newman; nephews and niece, Damien Randleman, and Hunter and Aleigha Huff, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shawnte’ Huff Orr benevolent fund at any FirstMerit Bank.
