Ruth Parish, was called to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday May 27, 2014. She was born July 14, 1921 in Harrisonville, MO to the late Zadah Belle (VanCamp) and Thomas Eugene Duncan.
She married Charles Lee Parish on June 26, 1943 and together they celebrated 64 years of marriage. Charles preceded Ruth in death on December 31, 2007. Her life was devoted to her faith in God and caring for her family. Her faith helped her to be a 59 year cancer survivor.
Her love will be forever written in our hearts.
Mrs. Parish was preceded in death by her brother Gene Calvin Duncan and sister Dorothy Cowger.
Ruth is survived by her son Richard (Pat) Parish of Amite, LA and daughter Carolyn (Dennis) Kreider of Wadsworth. Her beloved grandchildren: Christy (Paul) White, Kerry (G.K.) Parish -Philp, Julie (Rob) Smith and Jodie (Shawn) Welsh. There are 10 great grandchildren who also benefit from her legacy: Lauren and Ryan White, Avery and Katherine Parish-Philp, Tyler, Hannah, Joshua and Caleb Smith and Brooke and Caitlin Welsh.
She sweetly and quietly waited through many years for her home going.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon, Friday, May 30 at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth with Pastor Robin L. Hart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service from 11:00am – 12 noon. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
