Obituary
Sam W. Paulo, 83, died November 21, 2011. He was born July 30th, 1928 in Youngstown, OH. He graduated from Canfield High School and went directly into the U.S. Marine Corps where he served with the 2nd Marine Air Wing prior to the end of World War II. He also served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was discharged as a Staff Sgt. from the Adjutant General Corps.
He attended Kent State University, and taught at Night School at Wayne College. He was a graduate of the Savings and Loan Institute and also a graduate of the School for Executive Development, University of Connecticut.
He was a life member of the Masonic Order, Past President of Wadsworth Lions Club, longtime member of American Legion and N.R.A. He was a long time member of Grace Brethren Church, Rittman, OH.
He was employed nearly 50 years in Finance and Banking in various manager capacities. He retired in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his mother Nellie Paulo Rice, birth father Samuel E. Paulo, brother Robert H. Paulo. He is survived by his wife, Jane Paulo and their four children Michael, Thomas, Peggy Paulo Mains, and Susan Paulo Sullivan, along with seven grandchildren and his sister Marilyn Chako.
Cremation has taken place. He was buried at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. There will be a memorial service held at Grace Brethren Church, 44 S. 1st Street, Rittman on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bud Olszewski officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the Wadsworth Lions Club.
