Paul Wesley Payne 12/3/1943-5/1/2024

Paul Wesley Payne, 80, proudly served in the United States Marine Corps , was a devoted husband to his wife Patricia A Payne, whom he married June 24, 1972. He was a brave warrior who served from 1969-1975 where he received the Vietnam Service Medal. Paul was born in Kincaid, WV and is the son of the late Charles and Juanita Payne. He graduated from Collins Hills High School. Paul was known for his hard work and being a devoted family man. He Retired from local 860 Laborers International Union after dedicating over 45 years. His children will forever be thankful for teaching them dedication, strength, self worth, but most of all to be proud of where they came from. Paul was proud of his patriotism & dedication to his country. Paul loved fishing, hunting, flea markets, and helping everyone he could. He was truly a master of all trades. Along with Paul’s parents he is proceeded in death by his son Charles “Chuck” Wesley Payne, his brother Jackie Payne, Brother-inlaw Mike Hettinger & son in law Wayne Potter. He is survived by his wife Patricia of 52 years, Daughters, Stephanie Payne, Debora Wise, Sonja Halstead , Paula (Don)Birkbeck, son Wesley (Andrea) Annach, brothers Alan (Millie)& Bill (Leah) sisters (Susie)Liz ( Mickey) & Brenda. Paul is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Family, Friends and others Paul touched are invited to the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home at 174 N Lyman St in Wadsworth Thursday, May 9th 4-7pm. Friday, May 10th at 10am, funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with Military honors.
