Obituary
William (“Bill”) George Perkins (KX8T), 64, of Wadsworth, Ohio, passed away April 23, 2011. He was born March 15, 1947 in Boston, Mass., to the late Thomas and Mary Perkins.
Dr. Perkins received his bachelor’s of science and a master’s degree from Lowell Tech., and his second master’s degree and his doctorate from the University of Massachusetts. He was a member of Grace Brethren Church in Norton, Ohio, and was an active volunteer with Faith in Action. He was employed at Goodyear and later retired from Shell Oil Company.
Bill was a third-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and he was an accomplished golfer and pool player. He had his private pilot’s license and enjoyed his time as an amateur radio operator. Most of all, Bill dearly loved and cherished his daughters.
He is preceded in death by his brother Tom Perkins. Bill is survived by his beloved daughters Jessie (Craig) Malkin of Granger Twp., Lisa (John) Kinzelberg and Diana Perkins, all of Chicago, Illinois., one grandson, whom he adored — Eli Kinzelberg — and two sisters, Janet Perkins of Fla. and MaryAnn Perkins of Mass.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Thurs., April 28, at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, where funeral services will be conducted immediately following calling hours at 7:00 PM Thurs. with Pastor Robert Combs officiating.
The burial will be held in Bill’s hometown of Chelmsford, Mass.
