Obituary
Lana Rahe, 59, of Wadsworth passed away Friday, April 22, 2016.
She was born March 26, 1957 in Barberton to Robert and Mary Hasenyager. She was a member of Wadsworth United Methodist Church, a graduate of Wadsworth High School Class of 1975, received her Bachelors Degree from Akron University, her Masters Degree from Miami University and was retired from Strongsville City Schools.
Lana relished her roles as wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. She was quick with a smile and always looked for the best in people. She had a thirst for knowledge and loved her career as a teacher and molder of young minds. Lana was one of the most thoughtful, giving people you could ever know. Retirement only served to increase her role in volunteerism as she constantly looked to improve the lives of others. Although she left us way too early, the world is a better place because of the love and generosity she shared throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by the many people she touched.
Lana is survived by her husband Bart with whom she celebrated 37 years of marriage, daughter Sarah (Scott) Chouinard of Copley, son; Daniel (Hannah Jamison) Rahe of Colorado and grandchildren Carsten and Grady Chouinard and Kyrie Rahe.
She is also survived by her parents Robert and Mary Hasenyager of Wadsworth, sisters; Luann Wemmer of N.C. and Lorie (Chris) Santimarino of Copley and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8pm Wednesday day at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth
Funeral services will be conducted 11am, Thursday at Wadsworth United Methodist Church, 195 Broad St., Wadsworth.
