Obituary
Roy L. (Jack) Rayburn, 72, was surrounded by his family when he went home to be with the Lord, May 14, 2016. Born October 4, 1943 in Grady, AR and raised with 9 brothers and sisters in Harlingen, TX.
Survived by his loving wife, Mary (nee Clayborn); daughters, Christine (Scott) Rayburn and Tracy Oakes; eight surviving brothers and sisters; and grandchildren, Riley and Royce.
Proceeded in death by his father, Leroy; mother, Eva; sister, Janet Wood; mother-in-law, Betty Betit; brother-in-law, Joseph Shays; and nephews, Scott and Timothy Shays.
Jack served his country in the Vietnam War as a Radio Man in the United States Navy. He was a legend on the softball field, an avid sportsman, bowler and golfer. He retired as a Concrete Superintendent after 37 years in the business.
Visitation will be held at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home on Thursday, May 19 from 4-7pm. Inurnment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio 44273 on Friday, May 20. Please meet at the Welcome Center at 9:15am. A Memorial Service will follow beginning at 11:00am at First Christian Church 116 E. Boyer Street, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281.
