James L. Renner, 69, of Sharon Center passed away Monday, April 26, 2010 at his home with his family at his side. He was born September 8, 1940, in Wadsworth to Harry “Bud” and Nellie (Porter) Renner.
Jim was a lifelong resident of Sharon Center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing, archery, and gardening. He collected Indian relics and antique tools. He was a beautiful craftsman in both woodworking and blacksmithing, and was a former member of the Artist Blacksmith Association of North America. He studied pioneer ways and would use those ways to make his creations. Jim worked for Asplundh Tree Experts and later had his own lawn maintenance business.
He is survived by his mother Nellie Renner, wife Janet (nee Snyder), whom he married nearly fifty years ago on May 7, 1960, daughters; Jeannie (Mike) Moyseenko of Euclid, Judy (Dale) Curtis of Sharon Center, Joanne (Bernie Kamlowsky) Renner of Granger, grandchildren; Erin and Jimmy Spradlin, Justin and Stephanie Terepka, Emily and Billy Keller, Michael and Matthew Moyseenko, great grandson; Trent Crane. He is also survived by his brothers; Bill (Vivian) Renner and Norm (Chas) Renner of Sharon Center, and Bruce Renner of Delaware, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father Harry (Bud) Renner and brother Paul A. Renner.
The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where memorial services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday with Pastor Tim McCollum officiating. There will be an inurnment at Sharon Center Cemetery.
