Richard “Dick” W. Allan, 91 of Wadsworth passed away peacefully, September 25, 2014. Born September 8, 1923 in Wadsworth to the late Richard and Mary (Stroll) Allan. Dick proudly served in the US Army Air Corp. as a radio traffic controller during WWII. He was a member of the VFW and The American Legion. He worked in manufacturing at Ohio Injector Co. and Conval. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing bridge and jitterbugging with Jean Ann. Dick played baseball, football, and basketball for Wadsworth and remained very interested in the Wadsworth Grizzlies. .
Richard is preceded in death by his wife Jean Ann (nee Stronz) and grandson Tim Allan.

Survived by his children Mary Lou Ault, Tom Allan, Bill (Jane) Allan, and Sue (Bob) Hickling, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.

Dick will be deeply missed by his family and by his granddog, Brandi, who visited him weekly.

Private funeral services will be held for the family. The family would like to thank the staff at Sterling House of Barberton and Hospice of Medina County for their wonderful care Dick received.
