obert A. Delnoce, 59, of Wadsworth, Ohio passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 after a lengthy and extended three year battle. Affectionately known as Bob, Dad, Papa D, and Papa, he was surrounded by family when he finally went home to be with his Savior.
Robert was one of seven children born to the late Hugo and Norma Delnoce. Born on September 13, 1954 in Akron, Ohio, he was a 1972 graduate of St. Vincent St. Mary High School where he was the starting guard for the 1972 State Championship Football Team. He was married to his loving and caring wife Laura J. Delnoce (nee Houston) for 37 years, and was a nearly lifelong resident of Wadsworth and Akron..
Robert was a Union Local 639 Brother and Carpenter for 30 years, retiring in 2004. Robert was an avid fisherman, boater, gardener and a die hard Cleveland Browns fan, Ohio State Buckeye fan, and Wadsworth Grizzly Football fan. His greatest pride and joy was found in being a man of Christ and providing for and raising his three boys with his wife in a loving, caring, and stable home so they could grow into strong, hard working Christian men who provide for their families.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Laura, his three sons Dan (Jenn), Ken (Niki), and Matt (Jen); three brothers; Ted, Tom (Marlene), and David (Sue); his two sisters, Ruth Peters (Pat) and Marianne Kaluza (Tom); his two sisters-in-law Kay Close (Kent), and Janet Conkey (Dan); and one brother-in-law Brice Houston (Jane); his three grandchildren Ellie, Rocco, and Payton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Lynn.

The family will receive friends Tuesday 5 to 8 PM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street in Wadsworth, where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12 Noon. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
