Roger E. Fritz, 77, Wadsworth, Ohio, died Monday, September 25th after a period of declining health.

Roger was born August 8, 1940, to Ruth and Robert Fritz at the old Wadsworth Hospital. He graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1958.

He was a decorated veteran having retired from the U.S. Air Force. He served his country in Vietnam and was stationed at many bases around the world.

He lived in Des Moines, Iowa for 35 years before returning to Wadsworth in 2015. After living at Liberty Residence I in Wadsworth, he resided this past year at the Ohio Veterans’ Home in Sandusky. He received wonderful care at both of these facilities and his family is ever grateful for their help and care.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives Patricia and Kathy, and his brother Dan.

He is survived by his sister, Irene Given Adams, sister-in-law Nancy Fritz of Orange Park, FL, nieces Suzanne Berlin of Wadsworth, Pamela (Tim) Wilson of Wheeling, WV, Jennifer (Greg) Martin of Jacksonville, FL and Cynthia (Colin) Hodges of Jacksonville, five great-nephews and a great niece, two aunts and many cousins and friends.

A Committal Service will be held October 4, 2017, at 2 pm at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Roger’s name can be made to the Medina County SPCA, at 8790 Guilford Road, Seville, OH, 44273.
