Samuel H. Weaver, 92, died August 4, 2016. He was born September 30, 1923 in Wadsworth to the late Samuel and Myrtle Weaver.

Samuel proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII and was a lifetime member of Reimer Road Baptist Church. His faith and family were most important to him during his entire life. He retired in 1986 from the City of Barberton after 35 years of dedicated service. Samuel loved his animals and enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling and was well known for his great sense of humor.

Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mary in 2015 and sister Vivian Ruch; he is survived by their children: Samuel Jr. (Joanna) of Florida, Dennis (Jeanette) of Barberton, Carol ( Steve) of TX and James (Dot) of FL. There are 8 grandchildren: Mary, Jennifer, Melissa, Daniel, Ben, David, Kyle and Julia; 12 great grandchildren: Russell, Hunter, Landon, Samuel, Kaycee, Ashley, Christian, Titus, Hannah, Alexander, Averie and Silas and brother-in-law Clarence Ruch.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 5th, 5 to 7 PM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street in Wadsworth, where Pastor Jim Newton will conduct the funeral service Saturday, August 6th at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
