Donald William Santee, 89, of Clermont, FL. passed away Sunday July 14, 2019. He was born May 19, 1930 in Sharon Center, Ohio to the late Harold E. and Hattie Raw. Upon graduation from Sharon Center High School he enlisted in the US Army and served during the Korean War. The GI Bill made it possible to attend Ohio University and earn degrees in both Engineering and Education.

In Medina, Ohio he established Santee Associates Engineering and Surveying firm, served as President of The Chamber of Commerce and Lion’s Club, and helped to establish Meals on Wheels. One of his true passions was flying and he was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association for nearly 20 years.

Don was preceded in death by his wife Melva Minck and sisters Helen Knepp and Roberta Farr. He is survived by his children Jill (Kurt) Bock of Gotha, FL., Jeff (Amy) Santee of Monroe, CT., and Julie (Kevin) Trapp of Yardley, PA.; grandchildren Erin and Ryan Trapp and Paige and Will Santee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association. The family welcomes you to join them in celebrating Don’s life at the Galaxy Restaurant, Moon Glow reception room, 201 Park Center Dr. Wadsworth, OH. on Friday August, 9th from 5pm-8pm. Interment will be held Saturday, August 10th @ 11 a.m. Sharon Township Cemetery, Ridge Road, Sharon Center, OH.
