Charles Roman “Chuck” Schickler, 86, of Wadsworth passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021. He was born June 11, 1935 in Brighton, NY to the late Christine and Roman Schickler.
Mr. Schickler was a retired Sales Engineer and a member of the Wadsworth Lions Club. Chuck had a love of fishing and spent many happy hours on his boat at Lake Erie chasing perch and walleye.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Schickler on August 12, 2007 and his sister Marilyn Hopkins.
Chuck is survived by his wife Lois, his daughters Sharon A. Ray, Laurie (Chris) Habig and son Steven (Bobbi) Schickler, his grandchildren Matt (Sarah) Ray, Ben (Thea) Habig, Becca (Trevor) Cahill, Justin (Tyler) Schickler, Andrew (Maggie) Schickler and Nathaniel Schickler, his great grandchildren Roman Ray and Olivia Dombrosky and his siblings Don (Gloria) Schickler, Alan (Sue) Schickler and Joan (Mike) Nolan.
Chuck is also survived by his step-children: Fred (Shawn) Ulreich,, Greg (Patty) Ulreich, Donna (Barry) Holzmiller, Barb (Tom) Stafford and multiple step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Chuck’s family would like to thank the staff of Crossroads Hospice for providing wonderful care and support to Chuck and the entire family.
A funeral service will be conducted 7:00PM Wednesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth with Pastor Adam Marquette officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 5-7pm.
Private interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery along side Patricia.
