Ruth F. “Bootchie” Schindler, 94, of Wadsworth, passed away on May 6, 2023. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Francis and Hazel (nee Griffith) Beck.

Ruth enjoyed camping, socializing at AMVETS, and, above all, spending time with her family.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Earl.

She is survived by her children: Jim (Jan), Kenny, Randy (Terri), Scotty (Carolyn), and Becky Shivak (Donnie); 11 grandchildren: Leslie (Mike), Kelly (Keith), Amber (Eric), Kenny Jr. (Karen), Ashley (Brandon), Matthew (Lauren), Scotty Jr. (Stephany), Michael, Amber (Dan), Katie (J.R.), and Daniel (Aubrey), and 27 great-grandchildren: Jake, Luke, Zak, Drew, Tyler, Carter, Addie, Dylan, Tyler, Jake, Mason, Leyton, Kylie, Kason, Kane, Jace, Hudson, Penelope, Everly, Wyatt, Landon, Nolan, Callan, Micah, Maci, Alessi, and Cooper.

The family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Thursday, May 11 at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N Lyman St, Wadsworth, 44281, where a memorial service will be held the next day at 11am on Friday, May 12.
