Mary “Carol” Schmeing, 74, of Wadsworth passed away
Tuesday, November 3, 2015 following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born June 2, 1941 in Covington, KY to the late Francis “Rudy” and Lizetta Wolking. Mrs. Schmeing was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Carol worked a variety of jobs but found being a stay at home mother most rewarding. She loved gardening, playing games and especially vacationing on the beach with family.

Carol is survived by her husband Walter Anthony “Tony” Schmeing with whom she celebrated 53 years of marriage, their four daughters and sons-in-law: Lisa and Dick Duncan of Norton, OH, Anne and David Matolyak of Perrysburg, OH, Sandy and Mark Berning of Tipp City, OH and Debbie and Mark Smith of Medina, OH. She has 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Carol has two surviving sisters: Judy (Tom McGovern) and Beverly (Frank Henn) and one surviving brother Fred (Kathy-deceased) Wolking. Carol was a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Paul, Richard (Carol Wolking) and Dennis (Jan Wolking).

The family will receive friends 2-5 & 6-8pm Friday (TODAY) at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10am Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 272 Broad St., Wadsworth with Fr.Robert Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth Ohio.
