Christine Jan Schondel (nee Ulichney), 61, of Wadsworth passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016. She was born December 28, 1954 in Wadsworth to James J. and Dorothy Ulichney. Chris was a graduate of Wadsworth High School class of 1973 and a graduate of St. Thomas Hospital School of Nursing. Following graduation she remained a nurse at St. Thomas for several years and then transferred to Wadsworth Rittman Hospital until the inpatient unit closed. She was a wonderful nurse and co-worker. Chris was a Disney enthusiast and enjoyed many trips with her children, grandchildren and family to the Magical Kingdom, she also enjoyed trips to the beach and travel of any type.

Chris is survived by her children; Andy (Rebecca) Schondel of Rittman, Ali (Donnie) Bales of Wytheville, VA; grandchildren Travis and Julianna Schondel; her parents James and Dorothy Ulichney of Wadsworth and siblings James (Dorathy) Ulichney of Norton, Neil (Tonja) Ulichney of Austin, TX, Beth (Jim Davis) Hevener of Wadsworth and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 1:00 pm Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 272 Broad St., Wadsworth.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Make-A-Wish, 6060 Rockside Woods Blvd., Suite 315, Independence, OH 44131. To fund trips to Disney for terminally ill children.
