Robert W. Schultz passed away on June 3, 2024 at the age of 92.

Bob was born May 9, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to Carl and Clara Schultz, and had lived in Wadsworth, Ohio for over 60 years.  He graduated from Shaker Heights High School and earned his degree in accounting from Kent State University.  Bob met his wife, Mary Ann Popp, when they attended KSU.  Bob was a Certified Public Accountant for 62 years, and operated his own accounting practice.

While attending Kent State, Bob was a founding member of the Ohio Zeta Zeta Chapter of the national fraternity Alpha Tau Omega.

He is predeceased by his wife Mary Ann on October 25, 2015, after over 60 years of marriage, and by his older brother Carl, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter Stephanie of Westminster, Colorado, son Christopher of Denver, Colorado, and grandchildren Stephen of Athens, Ohio, Ashley of Stamford, Connecticut, and Bobby of Denver, Colorado.

Bob was proud to serve his country in the United States Navy as Paymaster aboard the USS Cavalier (APA-37).  His ship brought home Marine and Army personnel from Korea.

He was also a licensed sports official for high school and college sports.  He was licensed in baseball, football, soccer, and wrestling.  He retired as Secretary-Treasurer of the Ohio Wrestling Officials Association.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 260 Broad St., Wadsworth Ohio 44281.  Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart.
