Gregory S. Shaffer, 46, of Rittman, formerly of Shelby, OH passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010. Born July 9, 1963 in Columbus, OH to Charles and Linda Heuberger.
Greg loved to watch football, especially Ohio State and the Browns and loved to listen to his music while driving the open road. He was employed by Carton Service in Shelby, OH for 8 years, then drove a semi for 12 years. He was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his parents, sons Elijah and Kaiden Shaffer, grandmother Thelma Shaffer, and fiancé Jaymi Holibaugh of Rittman.
He was preceded in death by grandfather Raymond Shaffer, aunt Alberta Vojacek, and uncle Paul Shaffer.
Greg’s long journey on Earth has ended and is now resting in peace.
Graveside services will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio April 16 at 12:30. Please meet at the cemetery Welcome Center at 12:15.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
