Merle L. Shaw, 90 of Norton passed away October 18, 2016. He was born October 15, 1926 in Lodi, Ohio to the late George and Flossie Shaw.

Merle served in WWII on the Pacific front spending 1 year in Occupied Japan. After returning home, he married Iona Yoder. He worked at the Ohio Match Co. He eventually opened his own flooring installation business. He was actively involved in Wadsworth Masonic Lodge where he was a past Master and the Valley of Akron Consistry, where he received a Meritorious Service award. He was also a past patron of OES #102.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Iona Shaw.

He is survived by his daughter, Vickie (Brent ) Wilcox, granddaughter, Heather Lincecum and grandson, Trevor (Jessica) Lincecum, sister Lorene and many other family members.

Family will receive friends 2-4:30pm on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 at the Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, Ohio. Where there will a Masonic Service at 4:30pm.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday 12:30 pm with pastor Daniel Betts officiating. Interment will be at Ohio Western National Cemetery.
