Phyllis Shuster, 86, of Elyria, OH. passed away and went to be with her family in heaven on October 19, 2015. Phyllis was the daughter of Howard and Olive Moon, she was a loving wife to her partner in life Virgil Shuster and was a proud mother to Vicky L. Zsinko. Phyllis would have said that she is survived by her blessed grandchildren Heather McMillen and Todd, Traci Friedt and Jason, William (B. G.) Springer and Kim and Allison Plata, and Steve. Additionally, she would have also indicated that she was a proud great grandmother to 6 great grandchildren; Zachary and Bryanna Friedt, Matthew, Mason and Luke McMillen, Harper Springer. Phyllis was known as an exceptional cook (especially her key lime pie), she was known to tackle all of the daily crossword puzzles, was a true detective when it came to reading, she could play a mean hand of double solitaire and was always willing to sit down to enjoy a toddy while watching a classic movie. Phyllis had an adventure for life and had an opportunity to quench that thirst by traveling the U.S. with her husband Virgil on their vacations. If asked she was most proud of, I would be willing to bet it was her family. Phyllis was a rock of support for her husband, daughter, grandchildren and friends. She helped shape and frame the lives of everyone that she touched. She was a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, a mind to bounce ideas off and a heart to love unconditionally. She will be missed but not forgotten. Phyllis lived life to the fullest and always looked for the positive in all situations. Funeral service will be conducted at 4 pm Friday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to services from 2-4 pm.
