Obituary
Jerry Alan Sigrist, 77, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2016. He was born in Lodi, Ohio, October 25, 1938 to the late Eldon and Berdine (Foltz) Sigrist.
Jerry graduated from Polk High School where he was involved in anything related to sports. He graduated from Ashland College with a B.S. in Education and from Kent State with a Master’s in Secondary School Administration. Jerry taught 35 years in the Medina Highland Schools. He also was employed 27 years by the Kroger Company, and worked for the Chandler Arizona Schools, where he lived for three years.
Jerry was part of the Singing Sigrist Family gospel singers who recorded ten albums in Nashville, Tenn. They traveled and sang for 35 years in every state in the USA. Jerry was a long time member of the Wadsworth Nazarene Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eula Sigrist and his daughters Jerree Ann Sigrist, Lori Sigrist and Marcie Diosy. Survived by his grandson Tyler Diosy and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20, from 10 am-11am at the Wadsworth Nazarene Church, 743 High St, Wadsworth, where services will be conducted at 11 am with Pastor Raynard Martin officiating.
