Eleanor Simmers, 86, of Wadsworth passed away December 1, 2009. She was born August 2, 1923 in Goshen, Ohio to Donald M. Snyder and Dorothy (Hill) Snyder.
After completing high school she worked at Goodyear Aerospace building Corsair airplanes, and was also employed at Topps/Family Fair in Canton, and Bordner’s Grocery until her retirement in 1987. She was an avid gardener and loved animals. Her greatest joy in life has been her two granddaughters.
She is preceded in death by her husband Earl E. Simmers and brothers; Donald, Milton, Paul, and Ervin Snyder.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jennet and Jack L. Gore and granddaughters Rachel and Molly Gore. Also surviving are her sister Dorothy Jean Davis and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, where funeral services will be conducted 9:30 AM Friday with Rev. Jim Winkler officiating. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
