Hazel Skafic, age 97, passed away April 12, 2022. She was born on October 8, 1924 in Maywood, Indiana to the late Lucian F. and Amy (Englehart) Wakefield.

Hazel enjoyed playing Bingo, traveling to different restaurants, and vacationing. Mom always had a good, positive outlook on life and enjoyed it to the fullest.

Along with her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Skafic; sister, Madeline Roher; and brother, James Wakefield. She is survived by son, Gregory Skafic; sister, Grace Muich; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 29th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. in Wadsworth. Inurnment for both Hazel and Melvin will take place at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 30th at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
