Louis C. Smith Jr., 85, of Wadsworth passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010. He was born in Cambridge, OH on April 18, 1924 to the late Louis C. and Edna Smith.
Mr. Smith was a WWII U.S. Army veteran having served in the European Theater, a graduate of Ohio University, a 66 year member of Guernsey Lodge 66 F&AM, and was retired from Westfield Insurance Co. after 30+ years of service.
Louis is survived by his wife Aloha with whom he would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on May 16, 2010, sons and daughters-in-law Jeffrey A. and Loretta A. Smith of Bowling Green, David L. and Cassandra Smith of Phoenix, AZ, his grandchildren; Emily May Smith, Jacob D. Smith, both of Phoenix, Sabrina C. Smith of Bowling Green, Megan Gehring of Copley, and Beth Roll of Medina, and 4 great grandchildren.
A time of gathering for family and close friends will be held 2:00-3:30 PM Saturday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, where they will have a memorial service at 3:30 PM.
