Obituary
Mary E. Stauffer, 92, of Wadsworth passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015. She was born December 31, 1922 in Akron to the late William and Emma Sain. Mrs. Stauffer was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. She was a member of O.E.S Chapter #266 for 65 years. Until her health prevented her from attending regularly, Mary was a faithful member of Trinity United Church of Christ. There she was a circle leader, scout leader and always found ways to be involved with her church family. She loved nature and watching her family grow.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 2000.
Mary is survived by her children: Laura (Gary) Spice of Woodstock, IL, Donald (Marilyn) Stauffer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Harry (Kathleen) Stauffer of Wadsworth.
There are her grandchildren: Gregory (Patti Kolano) Spice, James (Jennifer) Spice, Lisa (Josh) Meusling, David (Colene) Stauffer, Kristin (Scott Schaeffer) Stauffer, Cynthia Knight, Kelley (William) Reed, Dawn (Kurt) Ritzman and Douglas (Krista) Stauffer and great grandchildren:
Rusty, Geordan and Cyndy Spice, Michael Studer, Mitchell and Renee Meusling, Derek and Kaylee Stauffer, Wade Schaeffer, Kyle Summers, Connor Knight, Ella and Chloe Reed, Benjamin, Charlotte, Rose and Augustus Ritzman, Micha and Gabriel Stauffer.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Friday, October 30 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 215 High St., Wadsworth with Rev. Daniel Doty officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-6:45. Eastern Star service will begin at 6:45.
Committal service will be in the Old Ivy Chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park at 10am Saturday, Oct. 31.
In lieu of flowers please make a contribution in Mary’s name to the new sound system at Trinity UCC. Mary benefited from weekly worship services as televised and wanted to see this ministry continue with adequate sound for the next generation.
