Obituary
Rosalia E. “Babe” Suchek, 91, of Wadsworth passed away Monday, November 23, 2009. Born February 20, 1918 in Akron, OH to the late Andrew and Ida (nee Breyer) Suchek.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and a member of Mt. Zwingli United Church of Christ. During the war she was Rosie the Riveter at Goodyear Aircraft. She was retired from The Ohio Match, volunteered with The Red Cross for over 10 years, was a member of the Lively Seniors and The Rosie the Riveter Society, and enjoyed traveling and photography.
Babe was preceded in death by her sisters Ida Buchanan and Evelyn Rodenbucher.
She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law Pauline and Charles Von Gunten of Sharon Center and Ruth and Lawrence Zintel of Copley. There are many nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews, and her “daughter” Janet Burchett of Wadsworth also surviving.
The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Friday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth and from 10-11 AM Saturday at Mt. Zwingli United Church of Christ, 2172 S. Medina Line Rd., where funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday with Pastor Keith D. Hejnal and Rev. Daniel Doty officiating. Interment Mt. Zwingli Cemetery.
