Howard D. Sussman, 81, of Wadsworth, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011. He was born on January 1, 1930 in Brooklyn, OH to the late Frank and Anna Sussman. Mr. Sussman was a graduate of Medina High School Class of 1948 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On July 25, 1951 he married the love of his life Joann Hinkle. In 1991 he retired from Reiter Dairy where he had proudly served as a home delivery man since 1956. He was an active member of the Ohio Bottle Club, enjoyed time with family, fishing at the Outer Banks, milk bottle collecting, gardening, cruises and travel.
Howard was preceded in death by his brothers; Elmer, James and Thomas.
He is survived by his wife Joann with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage, sons and daughters in law; David and Jan Sussman, Jeffery and Loretta Sussman, and Jon and Vicki Sussman. There are six grandchildren; Joshua, Jessica, Stephanie, Leah, Megan and Jacob. He is also survived by his sister in law Nancy (Ed) Shega and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 1-3 & 5-7 PM Sunday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Doty officiating. Inurnment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
