Ron D. Sutton Jr., 62, passed away September 23, 2023. Born in Niagara Falls, New York, he spent most of his life in various corners of Ohio. He ultimately settled down in Wadsworth, Ohio where he loved to spend his time painting and playing guitar under the stars.
Ron graduated from Ohio University where he received his Bachelor’s degree of Science in Chemical Engineering. He was passionate and prideful of his career. He received a stateboard registration as a professional engineer and worked at various companies such as Gould, MK Ferguson, and Middough. He later went on to pursue his own company, Chemron.
Ron’s brilliantly creative mind was expressed through his love of art and music. He was a gifted self taught artist and enjoyed sharing these passions with his children. Ron also enjoyed cooking and baking and was well known for his famous spaghetti dinner and snickerdoodle cookies. Of all things, his favorite times were spent being surrounded by friends and family with late night conversations, good food, a warm fire, lively music and his classic firework show.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Dean Sutton and mother, Elinor (Owens) Sutton.
Ron is survived by his children Ronald D. Sutton III and Elyse (Thanh Vu) Sutton, sister, Jeannie Hamm, two nephews, Eric (Kate) Hamm and Alex (Elissa) Hamm and niece, Katherine (Gabriel Santos Neves) Hamm.
There will be a future private celebration of Ron’s life in the spring with friends and family. Further information will be posted.
