Bessie M. Swigart, 96, of Norton passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2012. She was born December 19, 1916 in Sardis, Monroe Co., OH to the late William and Lena Winter. Mrs. Swigart was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, retired from the Ohio Match Co. with 38 years of service and loved doing yard work and working with her flowers. She also dearly loved attending the Winter Family reunions and never missed one.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Swigart, and 12 brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Swigart is survived by her sister-in-law Marie Winter, step-son John (Pat) Swigart, 2 step-grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and her “Special Grandchild” Jason Napper.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth with Rev. Daniel Doty officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to services from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.
