Joan Elizabeth (Woosley) Terrill was delivered by her earthly father, Clarence K, Woosley on January 21, 1921 near London, OH. Her Heavenly Father welcomed her to her eternal home on Sunday June 24, 2018.
Joan was the daughter of Clarence K. and Louise Woosley of London, OH. After graduating from London High School she continued her education at Grant Hospital in Columbus, OH where she received a degree of Registered Nurse in 1942. Joan married Lloyd H. Terrill on August 19, 1942 at Napoleon Presbyterian Church in New Orleans, Louisiana. After World War II Joan and Lloyd made their home in Wadsworth, Ohio where Lloyd began his Veterinarian Practice.
Throughout her life Joan was active and affiliated with the United Methodist Church in Wadsworth. She was involved in the Joyful Bells, the Quilting Circle, Bible Study, Fellowship and was a Sunday School Teacher. Outside of church she loved sewing, knitting, traveling through the United States and Europe, Meals on Wheels and the research of genealogy of the Woosley’s and Terrill’s.
Joan was preceded in death by her spouse, Lloyd Henry Terrill, daughter Lois Eileen (Terrill) Hunter, her parents and two sisters: Eleanor Gaskill and Frances Elaine (Tootsie) Waltz. Children left behind are Lloyd Kenneth (Ann), Roger ( Rebecca), Becky (Steve) Hess and Douglas (Karen). Her decendents include 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Our mother will be missed for her wisdom,her wit, her numerous quotes and her naturally beautiful smile.
The family will receive friends 5-7:30pm Friday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth and 9:30-11am Saturday at Wadsworth United Methodist Church, 195 Broad St. Wadsworth, where funeral a funeral service will be conducted at 11 am with Pastor Dale Turner officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Garden.
