Albert L. Thompson, Sr., 84, of Wadsworth passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013. He was born April 4, 1928 in Borderland, W.V. to the late James H. and Betty (Maynard) Thompson.

Albert was a coal miner in W.V for several years. He then moved to Wadsworth and worked for Packaging Corporation of America for 42 years. He was a Golden Eagle member of Aerie #2117 for over 65 years, a member of the Moose and an avid hunter and fisherman. Albert was loved by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Preceded in death by his wife, Nokie Lee, brothers; Clarence, Raymond and Vernon Thompson, sister, Roberta Thompson and dear friend, Rita Rice.

Survived by sons; Robert Lee and Albert L. (Sherry), daughter, Doris Ann (Ron), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 10 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday with Pastor John W. Castle officiating. Interment at Woodlawn.
