Turk
Wadsworth, OH

Loretta Louise Turk (née Weber), age 56, passed away on Friday, June 3rd, 2022 in her home surrounded by her husband, children, family and friends, after spending a peaceful day outside. She is joined in heaven with her mother, father, her brother David, and her sister Monica.

Born in Wooster, Ohio to Ethel and Dan Weber, she was raised in Orrville, as the youngest of nine children, where she attended St. Agnes and Orrville High School. Here she made many friends and went on to graduate from the University of Dayton. From there she traveled and while living in North Carolina, met and married her husband, Robert “Joe” Turk, with whom she recently celebrated 30 years of marriage.
Marriage and children would not stop Loretta from hopping around the world, but after having five children, she and Joe settled down in Wadsworth, Ohio, moving into their family home in 2002, and joining Sacred Heart Parish.

Loretta loved hiking, biking, gardening, and especially volunteering throughout her community. There was not a heart left untouched as she was very dedicated to each of her causes, from Meals on Wheels to leading prayers and rosary for the elderly. She was very active in living out the values of her faith, through her interactions with others and while raising her children. This was especially evident in her affinity for frugality and humility.

As a sister, friend, wife, and mother, Loretta leaves a legacy behind. She is survived by her siblings and in-laws, John (Donna) Weber, Margaret (Bill) Sevier, Patrick (Lynn) Weber, Mary Weber, Janet (Zane Mustaine) Weber, Timothy (Sue) Weber, and Joseph (Tina) Weber. She is proud to have considered Molly Mastroine, Melissa Krska, Lori Moomaw, Shelley Horn, Sarah Ward, Nan Yoder, Amy Zucca and Joey Brenneman her lifelong friends.

Finally she is survived by her spouse, Joe Turk, and their children, Ellen, Stuart, Peri, Charlotte, and Jaclyn.

A funeral mass is to be held inside Sacred Heart Church of Wadsworth on Wednesday, June 8th, at 11:00 am, with family visitation starting at 10:00 am. No calling hours will be held. Loretta asked to be buried naturally at Foxfield Preserve for a private interment. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
