Obituary
James J. “Jim” Ulichney, 90, of Wadsworth, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 14, 2018. He was born December 3, 1927 in Murray City, OH to the late Michael and Catherine Ulichney.
Jim was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from Morton Salt in 1996 after 39 years of service and was a member of the American Legion and Akron JEDNOTA.
Jim loved golfing, fishing, bowling, gardening, woodworking and grilling.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy “Dot” Ulichney on February 2, 2016, daughter Christine Schondel on January 10, 2016 and his siblings: George, Michael Jr., Anne, Betty, Steve, Dolores, Catherine, Andy and Margaret.
Jim is survived by sons, James (Dorathy) and Neil (Tanja Abercrombie) Ulichney, daughter Beth (Jim) Davis, grandchildren, Andrew (Rebecca), Tara (Jason), Julia, Alison (Donnie), Karissa (Jared), Laura, and Tyler, great grandchildren, Nathan, Travis, Julianna, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 2-5 pm Sunday at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Monday, January 22, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 272 Broad St. Wadsworth, OH. Interment will immediately follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, OH.
