Obituary
Lois LaVerne Valentine, 88, of Wadsworth passed away January 31, 2017. She was born July 4, 1928 in Cleveland to the late George William and Florence (nee Brandtner) Bacha. In her younger years she performed as an acrobatic dancer and a ballet dancer and was a seamstress at Richman Brothers Clothing in Cleveland. After getting married to her husband the late Edward James Valentine she dedicated herself to raising a family and the family farm. Lois was always proud of her Czech heritage. She was a former Girl Scout Leader, 4-H Advisor, a member of the Wooster Area Cowbells, and the OSU Extension Homemakers Club and volunteered many hours with The Giving Doll. She was an original volunteer for the March of Dimes going door to door and collecting dimes, a former member of the Medina County Fair Board, enjoyed traveling in later years and was an Ohio State sports fan. Lois is survived by her children, Cheryl Valentine, Wayne (Misty) Valentine, Donna Valentine, Dale Valentine and Debbie (Tom) Valentine – Indoe. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Russell Valentine, Jennifer (Nathan) Thomas, Brad Indoe, Megan (Scott) Herder, great grandchildren, Austin, Aiden, Alex, Colton, Kendall, Camryn and her cousin Laverne Hornyak.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 pm Sunday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. The family will receive friends two hours prior to services from 1-3pm.

Her warm smile and the twinkle in her eye will be forever remembered by all who were blessed to know Lois.
