Leo Vetter, 96, of Wadsworth, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011. Mr. Vetter was born in Rittman, Ohio April 7, 1915 and remained a lifetime resident of the area. He retired from the B. F. Goodrich in 1974 after 31 years of loyal employment. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus & Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Wadsworth, Ohio.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents Sebastian & Mary Vetter & loving wife Marie after 49 years of marriage.

He is survived by children Francis (Cheryl) Vetter, Wadsworth; Barbara Ann Williams, Wadsworth; Margaret (Robert) Bacik, Valley City, OH; Louise (Virgildee) Daniel, North Olmstead, OH; Vincent Vetter, Wadsworth; 18 grandchildren & 24 great grandchildren.
Special thanks to the Eucharistic Ministers of Sacred Heart Parish for their loving compassion attending to Leo’s spiritual needs and to the nurses & aides from Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate support during this time.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 21 from 5-8 PM at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 272 Broad St. Wadsworth with Fr. Mike Ausperk, Celebrant. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to Sacred Heart Church Bldg Fund, 260 Broad St., Wadsworth, Ohio 44281 or Crossroads Hospice 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Green, Ohio 44685.
