Obituary
Eric M. Ward, 25, of Wadsworth lost his battle with heroin addiction on Monday, September 28, 2015. He was born on November 29, 1989 in Wadsworth. Eric was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, was a graduate of Wadsworth High School class of 2008 where he was in the four cities compact carpentry program. He was employed as an installer for Quarrymasters. He enjoyed golfing, James Bond, was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, had a great sense of humor, an infectious laugh and was a collector of Archie comic books.
He was preceded in death by his father Darryl Ward on June 8, 2009, maternal grandfather Jack Woolsey, paternal grandparents Carl and Sarah Ward and uncle Layne Ward.
Eric is survived by his mother Kelly Woolsey, brother Logan Ward and maternal grandmother Judy Woolsey all of Wadsworth. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Ellen Kay Lacey of Mansfield, OH, Corky (Henry) Palmer of Rittman, Shari (Melvin) Pack of Rittman; Tim (Linda) Hatten of New Market, TN, John (Robin) Ward of Paulsbo, WA, Tommy Fargo of Wilmington, NC and Brett (Kara) Fargo of Wadsworth, a large extended family, many friends and his three furry companions Missy, Snickers and Kitty.
The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, where funeral services will be conducted at 11am Saturday with Rev. Jacquie McMillen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, all memorial donations will be used to establish funding for Wadsworth Against Substance Abuse.
