Obituary
Harvey Warner, 86, of Wadsworth passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2010 following a stroke. A native of Akron and resident of Wadsworth for 55 years, he was a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University of Akron. He is survived by Janet, his wife of 64 years; children Gail Wolford of Berea, KY, Lynn (John) Martin, and Jeff (Debbie) Warner of Wadsworth; seven grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren.
Mr. Warner was a veteran of World War II. He served as Director and Vice President of Bearfoot Corporation in Wadsworth and retired from Gasko Fabricated Products.
Harvey’s life was an expression of love for his family, faith in his Lord, and service to his country and community. A dedicated member of the Wadsworth United Methodist Church, he also provided leadership for many professional and service organizations.
Calling hours will be held at Hilliard- Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. on Sunday (TODAY) from 4-7PM. Service at Wadsworth United Methodist Church, 195 Broad Street, Monday at 11:00 AM with calling at the church one hour before the service. Private interment will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Wadsworth United Methodist Church, Wadsworth Public Library, or a charity of choice. The family appreciates the care given by Akron City Summa Health Palliative Care Unit.
