Jack E. Webb, 89, of Wadsworth passed away Thursday November 25, 2010. He was born on June 25, 1921 in Seville to the late Elmer and Ruth Webb. Jack was a member of Bethany Friends Church, was a graduate of Wadsworth High School Class of 1940, World War II Army Veteran, a member of the 713th Armored Flame Thrower Battalion Company B, was a member of Wadsworth VFW Post 1089, a member of the Wadsworth Honor Guard. Jack was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 38 years of service and was a member of The Gideons International, where for many years he served as the Ohio State Coordinator, was a former member of the Medina Camp and was currently a member of the Wadsworth Camp where he served on the Wadsworth Cabinet.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth on July 31, 2009 and his brother James Webb.
Jack is survived by two daughters and sons in law; Jane (David) Sheaffer of Lakeville, OH , Joyce (Curtis) Frase of Ft. Myers, FL; three grandchildren Debi, Joshua (Deann) and Mandi (Mark), and five great grandchildren Molly, TJ, Ashley, Carlli and Joey.
The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Tuesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday with Pastor John Graham officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Wadsworth Honor Guard.
