Obituary
Kathryn Keller Wendschuh long resident of Wadsworth, Ohio died peacefully in her sleep at 95. Kathryn, daughter of Lewis and Helen Keller, grew up in Grove City, Ohio.
She graduated from Grove City High School and Bliss Business College. In addition, Kathryn attended Ohio State University where she met and married her husband of seventy years, Walter Wendschuh. Married November 8, 1941, they moved to Wadsworth where she became quite active in the community.
Known as a capable, strikingly attractive woman, she supported many activities such as The Child’s Study Club, the Wadsworth Women’s Club, the Wednesday Hospital Auxillary, Parmi Nous, and the Bud N’Bloom Garden Club. Katie also belonged to Grace Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday School teacher.
An excellent Bridge player, she was a member of numerous bridge clubs. As a thirty year member of the American Red Cross Blood Bank Association, she worked diligently for that organization. In the Wadsworth Women’s Investment Club, she made sound investments for the members and herself.
Kathryn Wendschuh is survived by her two sons, Drs. Peter and Philip Wendschuh, and their wives Ann and Susan. Katie has two grandchildren, Michael of Montreal, Canada and Johanna Wendschuh of Miami, Florida.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Monday, November 12 at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday with The Rev. Daniel J. Cammarn officiating.
