Obituary
Glen R. Westenbarger, 88, of Wadsworth, died April 30, 2013. He was born April 6, 1925 in Wadsworth, to the late Worth and Alma Beck Westenbarger.
A longtime resident of Wadsworth and member of Grace Lutheran Church, he was a member of Wadsworth Library Board for 14 years and past treasurer of Wadsworth Kiwanis Club for 17 years. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII and graduated from Case Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree and earned his MBA from Columbia University. He was a longtime supporter of the American Red Cross, donating over 21 gallons of blood.
Preceded in death by his brother Don, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley; daughters Melissa (Joseph) McCloskey of South Carolina and Ann (Joe) Lee of Texas; son Michael (Gwin) Westenbarger of North Carolina; grandchildren Molly and Andrew McCloskey, Jordan and Shelby Lee, and Abigail and Laura Westenbarger and cousin Mary Friedley.
The family will receive friends Friday 6 to 8 PM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street in Wadsworth. The Rev. Daniel Cammarn will conduct a memorial service Saturday 2 PM at Grace Lutheran Church, 146 High Street in Wadsworth. Private Inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
