Esta A. Wheeland 74, of Wadsworth passed away December 5, 2017. She was born Feburary 24, 1943 in Wadsworth, Ohio to the late James and Edith (Richards) Oliver.

Esta was a beloved wife and perfect mother. When asked how she knew how to be a good Mom, she replied, “you just marinade children in love and they turn out real juicy!” Her ability to nurture all things was a gift from God.

She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was a mother figure to so many more. She also enjoyed canning, gardening, cooking for her family, playing her organ and was a lover of animals.

Preceded in death by her siblings, Dan, Richard, Bob, Jere, Fay, and Martin.

Survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard A. Wheeland; children, Richard A. Jr., Amy C. (Denny) Smith, and James C. (Shelly);
grandchildren, Sydney and Braven Smith; and sister Cora Bryant.

Family will receive friends 5-7PM Thursday Dec. 7, 2017 at the Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home 174 Lyman St. Wadsworth, Ohio.
Funeral service will be Friday at 11AM; family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
