Marjorie J. Wickiser, nee Thomas, 85, passed away December 17, 2012. Born October 28, 1927 in Wadsworth, Ohio to the late Willard “Smoke” and Pauline Thomas.

Marjorie was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 170 Womens Auxiliary. She graduated from Wadsworth High School and from the University of Akron. She worked 25 years for the Summit Co. Environmental Engineer Dept. and volunteered at the Wadsworth Library and E. J. Thomas Hall for many years. Marjorie was an avid Ohio State Fan. She was best known for being a very independent and determined lady. She was not afraid to voice her opinion and let you know what she believed.

Preceded in death by her brother, Richard L. Thomas.

She is survived by her sons Ric (Lisa) McElroy of SC, Roger (Josie) McElroy of Green, OH, and Kevin Wickiser of CA. Grandchildren, Ross (Shelby) McElroy, Amy Calvaruso, and David (Amanda) McElroy; 2 great- grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Family request in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church 146 High Street Wadsworth, Ohio.
