Edward Bruce “Ed” Wilson, Age 85, born in New Jersey passed away in Fairhope, AL on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at a local hospital.

He retired from the banking business and moved to Fairhope, AL in 1992. He was a member of the Baldwin Senior Travelers where he served as a director for eight years, he had a real interest in auto racing and attended the Indy 500 race for forty years. Ed also loved his 1964 corvette which he let go two years ago. He started the Knife and Fork group in the Welcome Newcomers and chaired for nine years.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille “Lu” Wilson of Fairhope, AL; sisters-in-law, Ivy Welty of Wadsworth, OH and Gwen Everhard of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; nephews, David and Donn Everhard; nieces, Dawn Menser, Amy Miller and Claudia Snyder.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-3 PM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, OH 44281, where funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth, OH.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to USA Mitchell Cancer Institute, 188 Hospital Dr., Suite 400, Fairhope, AL 36532.
