Richard E. Wright, 54, was born on September 3, 1957 in Orrville, OH. He departed this life on Monday, February 27, 2012. He was the second of five children born to James and the late Dorothy Wright.
Richard accepted Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church, Orrville, Ohio. He graduated from Orrville High School in May 1976. He worked at Quality Castings Co., Gerstenslager Co., and was a dedicated employee at the Smith Dairy Co. in Orrville until he became disabled.
Richard was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life Jeanne Stutz. Together they raised three children in Akron, OH. He has an older son that lives in St. Paul, MN. The family attends church at Arlington Church of God in Akron. Richard loved the Lord and enjoyed being a witness to everyone who didn’t know Jesus. He made wonderful friends along his Christian journey.
Richard loved playing baseball, working on electronic systems; such as computers, car stereos, televisions, and cell phone components. This was his part time hobby. He traveled with his family to North Carolina, Mississippi, Colorado, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Most of all he treasured his time with his wife, children, and family cookouts.
Richard was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Dorothy Wright, father-in-law George Stutz, uncles Sammy T. Jones, William and Jimmy Wright, Joe and John Tidwell, and aunt Cora Lee Jones. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Jeanne Wright, daughters Candace and Kaitlynn Wright, sons Tyler Wright and Cebrian Sims, father James Wright, sisters Sandra (Neil) Smith of Wooster, Nora Jean (Rev. Tommy Sr.) Higgins of Akron, brothers Freddie (Lisa) Wright of Wooster, Samuel (Avery) Wright of Wooster, and Johnny Wright (Cousin) of Massillon, half-sister Janet Stanford of Orrville, special friends Dwayne Caldwell, Mark Griggs, Kenny and Stevie Waller, and God Daughter Mikki Akins.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 2, 2012, from 5-8 PM at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 3, with Elder Dwayne Caldwell officiating. Interment Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home in order to help defray funeral expenses.
