Floyd C. Ziegler Jr., 74, of Wadsworth went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, November 28, 2009. Born December 2, 1934 in Barberton to the late Floyd and Esther (Plarsity) Ziegler Sr. .
Floyd was a member of Norton Baptist Church. His life was defined by loving and serving Jesus Christ his Savior. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, reading, coin collecting, and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren. He was honored to have served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Preceded in death by his parents and sister Marcella White.
He is survived by his wife of Patricia (nee Pursley) Ziegler, with whom he celebrated almost 50 years of marriage, children; Todd (Vicky) Ziegler of Kalamazoo, MI, Mark (Ellen) Ziegler of Norton,, Esther Marks of Wadsworth, and Karen (Dave) Eckenrode of Wadsworth, grandchildren; Micaela Ziegler, Stephen (Katie), Ashley, John-Mark PFC, Amber, and Spencer Ziegler, Lisa Marks, David, Johanna, Patricia, and Thomas Eckenrode, and sister Kathryn Luck.
The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Tuesday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, and one hour prior to services from 10-11 AM Wednesday at the church. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday at Norton Baptist Church, 4239 S. Cleveland Massillon Rd. Norton with Pastor Dwight Strickland officiating. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
